About the Project

For the animals, always

The project

First and foremost, this site is dedicated to all animals — those exploited by humans and those suffering across the planet. This project exists, above all, to help them.

Secondly, this guide was created as the vegan encyclopedia of Brisbane and surrounds — to help vegans — those who want to reduce, as much as possible, their negative impact on animals' lives — and anyone interested in veganism and plant-based eating to find the best places in Brisbane for a great meal.

In the Eat & Drink section, the guide offers a quick, objective, aggregated rating — based on a wide range of reviews from the main platforms, written by people who have actually visited these places — of venues with a fully vegan menu, followed by a list of vegan-friendly places.

Food is the largest driver of animal exploitation. It is essential to promote, and create value for, businesses and projects that help animals, and to help them keep improving — since people who consume animals carry many biases and prejudices, both the food and the people need to be inclusive. That way, more people can enjoy the comfort of eating and gathering without harming animals of other species.

The project also showcases groups and key figures in the animal movement who contribute or have contributed to the cause in Brisbane and surrounds.

There's more to explore, too. The Vegan Kit serves up the essentials of veganism — no lectures, just facts with a side of good humour. The Vegan Map shows where the good stuff is hiding across Brisbane. The Vegan Finder is your shortcut for everything from a second date to a birthday feast for the whole gang, with 80 questions answered. And Hire a Vegan connects you with vegan professionals, because solidarity tastes even better when it's shared.
